Dr. Laszló Kordos is an outstanding vertebrate paleontologist in Hungary. After his studies at the Universdity of Budapest he was member of the  Hungarian Geological Institute as the researcher- custodian of the rich collections, recently became director of this  Institution, is professor of Paleontology at the  University of Budapest and memeber of the Academy of Science. His scientific activities deal mainly with the Cenozoic faunas. Besides his extent scientific work regularly writes informative articles, books, and is lecturer in broadcast and television.
