Tom Williamson is a Curator of Paleontology at the New
Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. Tom received his Ph.D and M.S. at
the University of New Mexico and his bachelor’s degree at the University of
Massachusetts, Amherst. His primary research interests involves Cretaceous and
Paleocene vertebrates of North America with an emphasis on phylogeny, taxonomy,
biogeography, and biostratigraphy of selected groups including dinosaurs and
mammals. He has long had an interest in early Paleocene mammals of the San Juan
Basin, New Mexico and is currently focused on the post-extinction ecological
recovery and evolutionary radiation of mammals based largely on this record. |
