Everett Lindsay received his doctorate in paleontology at UC Berkeley in 1967.  He taught vertebrate paleontology and studied small mammals, especially rodents, as well as correlation of mammal faunas with the Geomagnetic Polarity Time Scale at the University of Arizona in Tucson for 29 years prior to his retirement in 1996.
